Hello there! My name is Marta and I am Reflexology therapist who joined Healing Space team last year. I have been working in Hackney since 2014. One of my top favorite type of treatment is Pregnancy Reflexology, simply because its a three people session and mom-to-be & the baby is so responsive to it! But first, let me introduce Reflexology to you.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient holistic healing art that uses pressure-point massage techniques on so called “reflex areas”- mostly found on the feet. There are around 7200 “reflexes” (nerve endings) on each foot and those are connected to all body organs, glands and areas. As Reflexologist I see your feet as a map & gateway to your body. By applying pressure to certain areas, we can stimulate neural pathways, creating state of deep relaxation, rebalancing all body systems, enhance body & organ functions by boosting blood and lymph circulation. You can experience all those benefits through your feet!

Are you breathing right now? Go on, have a check. Look down there at your torso and see if it's rising and falling. If you can't be bothered to move your head, see if you can feel the chest and belly moving in and out, up and down. The feeling of air passing through the nostrils is another tell-tale sign that you are breathing. You are? Good. See? You didn't need any instruction on how to breathe after all - it happens all the time without you even thinking about it. Phew!
