Trauma Informed Somatic Therapy is a body-based approach that helps you reconnect with your body, your sensations, and your lived experience
What is it?
Somatic therapy recognises that life’s challenges, stress, overwhelm, change, or difficult experiences, are often stored in the body before they appear in the mind. By tuning into breath, movement, posture, and physical sensations, alongside your thoughts and emotions, you can gently notice where tension, blocked energy, or unresolved patterns exist and allow your nervous system to find balance.
Every session is guided by where you are in the moment. We may begin with simple practices such as breath awareness, grounding, gentle movement, or other nervous system regulation techniques. From there, depending on what feels safe and accessible, we might explore different forms of processing to support what your body and system need in the present. This approach is flexible and paced according to your readiness, creating a space that honours your capacity and supports a sense of safety and choice.
