NEWtritionist: My Journey into Women’s Health Nutrition

I know it might sound cliché, but I was born and raised in Lyon, France — the French capital of gastronomy. My life has always revolved around food, with some of my most precious childhood memories being connected it. Whether it was being in the family kitchen with my mum and four sisters, or sharing birthday cakes at friends’ celebrations, food was always at the heart of it. Even when I travel, I find myself more drawn to local supermarkets and restaurants than museums — because for me, food tells such a powerful story about culture and connection.

Growing up in a family mostly made up of women, I witnessed health struggles without fully understanding them at the time. Every month, I watched my sisters suffer — in pain, throwing up, in the dark — and only later did I learn it was painful periods. Another chapter of the family story was fibroids: my mum had them, and two of my sisters had to undergo operations. For one sister, the diagnosis took ages, and the surgery was far more complicated than expected. Another had one which led to a hysterectomy at just 36, along with a diagnosis of breast cancer at 32. Thankfully, she's well today, but the trauma of those years stays.

As for me? I suffered with very painful periods for a long time, but I can proudly say that today my period is a breeze compared to how it was — thanks to what I’ve learned through my own health journey. But the reason I started by sharing about food, then my family and health — is because this is the foundation of why I do what I do. When I began studying nutrition in 2020, it felt natural to focus on women’s health. I wanted to support women in the way I wish my sisters had been.

Now, as a nutritionist and health coach, helping women with painful periods, fatigue, stress, weight, the rollercoaster of fertility challenges and IVF, and more, I know how tough the journey with these issues can be, and I’m here to make it a little easier. After years of burnout and breakdowns in the corporate world, I’ve found real purpose in supporting women every day. My approach is clear, compassionate, and practical, creating personalised, evidence-based plans that actually fit into your life.

I want to leave you with my favourite motto: “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Because we never really know what others are going through.💫
